I'm in need of a new cell phone, but am not too sure what cell to go for, nor what carrier to go with. I'm not a fan of Rogers so I will most likely end up going with Telus, but who knows? Something crazy could happen. What phone do you use, and do you like it?

I know you said you wouldnt, but I cant say enough bad things about Rogers. Sad thing is though, they are my cell phone carrier.
I've never used Rogers before, but nearly everyone I know that has in the past has had nothing but bad things to say. My roommate is actually currently in a dispute over an extremely outrageous bill they sent him.
I'm about 99.3% positive I will not be using Rogers.
I am with Telus right now, but am switching to SaskTel in the fall. I just went with them because I used to work there, so wanted to deal with my old coworkers because I trusted them. But now I see the lack of digital anywhere outside Saskatoon and Regina sort of sucks, despite the fact I hardly go home and don't need my cell when I do. Anyway, Telus is much better in Alberta, being the birthplace. And coming from personal experience having worked there and witnesed it many times, if you bitch loud and long enough, you'll almost always get what you want. Client retention is very important to them.
Don't sell your soul to the technology demons!!! Fight the good fight with me!!! Boo to cell phones, Hooray for 80's tech!!!
I have owned an Audiovox phone for almost 3 years now and it is holding up really well. I would like to get one of those Motorola RAZR's but my Audiovox still works great so I don't think I will trade it in yet
N, I'm not gonna rock back to the pager man, that's just not gonna happen.
Jason, I wouldn't mind a RAZR, however, almost all of my co-workers have one (seriously, 6 out of 9 that I work with) as well as one of roommates, so it just wouldn't be cool.
I've owned an Audiovox before and might actually go back, we'll see in the next couple of days here.
Those RAZR's break all the time though....
I have pretty decent perspective on this. I used to be a Telus manager and am not a cheerleader by any means, but they are miles ahead of Rogers.
Due to working at Telus, I'd been a customer for several years. Because a couple years ago, Telus did not have a Treo, I switched to Rogers. Big mistake.
The Treo 600 was a good concept, but I went through two of them with functionality problems. I had nothing but problems getting my hardware credits (their $99 phone deal was dependent on a three year contract, paying retail and getting airtime credits) and ended up cancelling my contract.
Telus was never a problem at all and I will be hard-pressed to switch carriers again.
BTW, my understanding is that if you want a PDA/phone combo, the Treo 625 is a far more reliable unit. I will await what exists when my current two year deal expires.
