I went out on Monday night with a couple of friends and my little sister. Since we couldn't get a cab, I drove to the bar and parked across the street. When we left the first bar, we all hopped in a more suitable (ie: not an Aveo) ride from another friend, so I just left my car at the bar, thinking all would be good.
When I woke up this morning and went to pick it up, the rear passenger window was smashed and there was a massive rock sitting in the backseat. All that was stolen is the following:
- 6 beer
- 1 pack of cigarettes
- 1 leather jacket
Good thing none of it was mine, or I would be even more pissed off. However, I can't believe that these "thieves" didn't take off with the contents of my sister's purse, which was left on the floor untouched. Or any of the other three or four jackets that I had left in the car.
So, now these idiots are going to cost me a couple hundred dollars for a few measly little items. Sweeeeet deal.

I wonder if going to the bar again later on the same night next week would reveal someone wearing that stolen jacket, and smoking.
This thought had crossed my mind, however I feel it probably happened well after the bar closed. The entire time we were at that bar, there were two police officers stationed at the front door. This is the case every time I've ever been at this particular bar.
I was parked directly across the street from the front door. The size of this rock would have definitely created a loud noise when going through the window -- loud enough for even cops to hear.
So, I assume it happened sometime after 3:30. Probably some bums downtown or something. Who knows?
