I haven't even been using WordPress for a week yet, and I'm thinking about switching back to MovableType.
There are certain things I really enjoy about WordPress, but I just find it so limiting with my minimal knowledge of PHP and CSS. I was planning on adding the full blogrolls for both Alberta Blogs and SaskBlogs, but am becoming more and more frustrating to get a sidebar on everypage.
So, I'm going to work on a new custom MT theme over the next week or two and see if I can come up with something acceptible.

Search pages, Archives and blog entries seem to display the sidebar differently, trying to suit the content to the material.
Since blog search engines tend to search only the homepage, it isn’t considered essential by WPress designers to have the sidebar always contain blogrolls, even though it can ease navigation [but lengthens page load time]. I’m going to remove a blogroll I’ve added because I think it is dead and hasn’t added me even to it yet after a week.
I’m going to go with a modified version of my main page sidebar for the rest of the pages. I just don’t like how difficult it is for me to modify individual sidebars. Maybe it is just because of the theme I’m using. However, I’ve gotten my new MT layout to a pretty good point already, and it’s only been a day! Give it a week or so, and I should be pretty happy with it.
