Stephen Colbert on Wikipedia

On the July 31, 2006 episode of The Colbert Report, Stephen Colbert mentioned Wikipedia a number of times, which caused some editing chaos on a number of entries. On last night's show as well, Colbert's guest Linda Hirshman mentioned Wikipedia during her visit, which undoubtedly led to more guerilla editing.

Update!

I've been neglecting my blog, so due to the thrashing I took courtesy of the hands of Brea, here is an update.

Jordan's Birthday

Here are some pictures of me from Wednesday before we went out for Jordan's birthday. Unfortunately, despite popular consensus I should wear these clothes out... I changed before we went out :o

Just me.
Just me.

We're going out again to celebrate his birthday tonight, and I don't really know why, but I'll have fun anyway.

The Truck

Well, during my month of refusing to update my blog I have neglected to inform those of you that don't know me personally but still manage to come on down that I have finally gotten rid of the Chevrolet Aveo I'd be driving around since late last year and picked up a red 1991 GMC Sierra 1500, which I guess really cements me as an Albertan. This is a gigantic departure from the norm in the world that is my garage, but it came cheap from a family member and insurance isn't killing me.

I haven't driven it lately because:
(a) I seem to have misplaced my driver's license, and can't find it;
(b) I still have not received my Alberta update.

Preston and I took it on the first road trip at the end of August to attend Chad's wedding in Fort Qu'Appelle, which was cool, besides the V8 guzzling like $250 in gas.

So yeah, that's the truck update.

Entourage

Entourage is far and away my favorite TV show currently putting out new episodes. Check it out on HBO or Movie Central. Sweetness.

No more Shivs!

Riders I'm completely surprised that the Riders' Board of Directors finally grew a pair of grapes and got rid of Roy Shivers. This is a very welcome move as Shiv has been shittin' the bed lately to the tune of 4-5 on the year and an even more impressive 52-64-1 during his tenure. The firing came at an unexpected time, following our first win since week seven, but who cares? It was about damned time.

Although I agree Shiv needed to be handed his walking papers, I think Danny Barret should have been the first to go, and expect he'll be walking back to the Southern USA with his protector-in-shining-armor Shivs very soon, as apparently Shivers was let go as a result of refusing to fire Barret at the request of the Board.

Not sure what's going to happen for the rest of the season, but hopefully this is a step in the right direction.

Wedding!

At the end of July (the 29th to be exact) I went to my buddy Chad's wedding in Fort Qu'Appelle. On Saturday I will be in Prince Albert for the second wedding of the summer that I'll be attending.

Now here's the twist: my Uncle is marrying my former-roommate's mom. Yeah. Isn't that something out of a bad teen movie?

In all seriousness though, I met my former roommate after my Uncle and his mom had hooked up, so it's all good. I don't know what's up with these weddings being in beacons of tourism in Saskatchewan, but it's kind of lame. I'll be in Saskatoon tomorrow night, and Sunday night for sure... maybe a few days more. So, uhm, call my dad's place if you know me and want to get together.
